Through an exclusive partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, Specialized shared their helmet’s CAD designs and conducted studies on the malleable skulls of young children using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Because children’s heads are softer and still growing, the outcome of this partnership was the use of low-density foam—and more of it—to ensure optimal protection and comfort.
