Through an exclusive partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, we shared our helmet’s CAD designs and studied the malleable skulls of young children using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Because children’s heads are softer and still growing, using low density foam—and more of it—was the outcome of this partnership.
DATA DRIVEN INNOVATION
Coming out of our KTH and Mips partnership, the Shuffle 2 increased the amount of low density foam inside by 18%, while only growing the overall size of the helmet by 5%.
