Vertical Swing Arm

The Shingleback Swing Arm opens either to the left (away from traffic), or to the right, in a simple two-step process. First you release the heavy duty safety clamp, and then you pull the safety pin. The gas strut takes over and in less than a minute you have full access to your vehicle.

Like the Shingleback Rack, the Swing Arm is an all steel construction, fully welded by a certified welder, shot blasted, zinc primed then top coated in a tough scratch resistant powder coat. The Swing Arm has double anti-rattle devices to ensure a rock solid fit to your car’s tow hitch. The solid construction ensures it can be used with all Shingleback racks – 3 bike up to the 6 bike.

* Please note: The Shingleback Swing Arm has been made exclusively for the Shingleback Racks and isn’t suitable for use on a VW Multivan or other vans with a similar large, lift up door.
